South Sudan: Fleeing conflict in neighbouring Sudan, over 100,000 refugees have flooded into refugee camps in South Sudan's Upper Nile state. With the rainy season now over, a further influx of refugees is a real possibility. The ICRC has stepped up efforts to tackle water shortages, particularly severe in Yusuf Batil camp, and is providing essential items such as mosquito nets and tarpaulins for the refugees who need them most. News footage and an operational update will be published by the middle of November. -    Every day, hundreds of people fleeing armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo end up in refugee camps in Uganda. They have had to leave everything behind.
