HORSHAM, PA, USA—JUNE 20, 2012— Digital health care technology is beginning to explode across the country and DIA is showcasing some of this cutting-edge innovation in its first Life Science Entrepreneur Pavilion at the DIA 2012 48th Annual Meeting, which will be held June 24-28 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Featured businesses include: Incubators are seeing an increase in the number of startups developing mobile and online apps for the health care industry. The apps range from direct consumer products to help patients schedule doctor appointments to apps designed to aid in the recruitment and retention of patients for clinical trials. In some cases, potential financial backers, both venture capitalists and angel funds, are getting into the game early, not wanting to miss the boat in this quickly evolving, but still-in-the-infant-stages technology arena.
